Dear students and staff,
I regret that my first entry is not on happier terms, but unexpected situations dictate a rather more pressing welcome back than we had anticipated. As you have by now surely heard, Tournament Director Teresa Munes suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound earlier this afternoon which has, undoubtedly, caused a rather unhelpful stir of chaos in the South American region. What's more, our freshman students have arrived into Boston Logan International within the last hour and have found their security detail and cars missing in action.
As you can imagine, the press is already speculating about the connection between the two and, frankly, I think we can all imagine a group of freshman attempting to deal with the AP. Before someone ends up dead, it would be greatly appreciated if upperclassmen could momentarily desist their unpacking and form, along with myself and several other Mentors, a small guard to escort the freshman back from Boston Logan.
Very good. I hope everyone has managed to keep all limbs over their holiday break. I have a fairly good track record with limbs: it would be something of a shame to lose now.
